Making Sense of Lidl, Amazon, & the Emerging Retail Environment

It’s a topsy-turvy retail industry out there. To say the least.

  • Walmart is quickly going digital

    Amazon’s invading brick-and-mortar

    Omnichannel is all the rage

    Grocers are slashing prices

And...wait for it: Lidl is coming

Today, retailers find themselves in the throes of significant change.

It's truly a watershed moment for many companies.

How to Make Sense of Change in the Retail Industry

In this emerging competitive environment, the spoils will of course go to those retailers, CPG companies, and agencies with the best information—where “best” is a function of accuracy, speed, and affordability.

    All three.

As existing competitors pivot and new competitors surface, it’ll become increasingly important to answer basic questions about in-store products—accurately, quickly, and affordably.

    Questions like:

    • What products are available…

      Inside what stores…

      At what prices…

In what positions on store shelves?

In short: to stay in the know about stores and the products they’re selling.

Retail-auditing firm Field Agent specializes in answering questions like these. We combine crowdsourcing and smartphone technology to capture photos, video, and all sorts of fast, affordable insights from inside stores.
